Hareketli salyangoz modeli, ahşaptan el yapımı. Kurulduğunda yaklaşık 15 dakika çalışmaktadır. Salyangozun kabuğunun devinimli hareketi için Galileo’nin saat maşası mekanizması kullanılmıştır. Kabuğun bir yöndeki hareketi şakülün aşağı salınmasıyla, ters yöndeki tur ise atalet ile gerçekleşmektedir.

Kinetic sculpture of a snail, handmade out of wood. Runs for 15 minutes once setup. Spinning of the shell is obtained using Galileo’s escapement mechanism. The first spin of the shell occurs as the weight is released, and the next spin in the opposite direction occurs by inertia.
